Cultivation
An installation in SodaFabriek for Fotofestival Schiedam

In Cultivation, mirrors are used to transform landscapes into abstract rectangular shapes. This abstraction refers to typical Dutch agriculture, in which the land is divided into neat pieces of farmland.  The work is a comment on monoculture agronomics and researches the grey area between the man-made and the natural.
Cultivation consists of a photo series, a collection of pressed plants and an installation.
